Ceremony to Honor Anson Jones and U.S. Independence Set for July 4, 2013

A ceremony honoring Anson Jones, the last President of Texas and United States independence is scheduled for Thursday, July 4, 2013.  The San Jacinto Chapter of the Sons of the Republic of Texas will be hosting the event at Anson Jones’ grave site at Glenwood Cemetery, located at 2525 Washington Avenue.
